Taking Care of Your Wellness as a Dancer

As a dancer, your main tool for expression IS your body, so why is that so many of us do not take the necessary steps IN ADVANCE to take care of said tools?? We are here to push the concept of training both in dance and FOR dance so that our bodies can stand the test of time with more grace than in years past.
We are blessed to have a handful of dance programs that actively infuse wellness and workouts into their training program, including but absolutely not limited to:

Here's another big one: MAKE SURE YOU HAVE HEALTH INSURANCE! For those of us in California, we are blessed to have a system which offers subsidies (ie, assistance) to help cover our Insurance Premiums (the monthly amount we pay to have insurance) and lower our Out-of-Pocket expenses (what you pay AT the Doctor's office, etc). Most NorCal artists are living check to check and absolutely qualify for these low cost plans, and sometimes even free medical coverage through MediCal.
